Roy Halladay's representatives have informed the Blue Jays that he will not accept a trade after he reports to spring training.
In other words, the Jays need to work out a trade this winter or they won't get anything in return for their ace (besides draft pick compensation when he's snatched up as a free agent after the 2010 season). Halladay has a full no-trade clause and is wielding it to get out of Toronto as soon as possible. New general manager Alex Anthopoulos can expect a ton of phone calls, especially at next week's Winter Meetings. It's a near certainty that he will be dealt before pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report.
