The Cleveland Cavaliers were the big winners at the NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday night, with the pick they acquired in the Baron Davis-Mo Williams deal moving up from the No. 8 slot to become the No. 1 overall selection in the 2011 NBA Draft.
This gives them the No. 1 and No. 4 overall selections, and the early money is on them selecting Duke PG Kyrie Irving with the first pick. Tonight's lottery was a blow to teams not using lottery protection when trading picks, as the Jazz moved up from No. 6 to No. 3 with a pick from the Deron Williams deal, and the Clippers are being murdered on Twitter for their deal -- but considering they had a 2.8% shot of hitting it big at the time, reports of their incompetency are exaggerated -- at least on this issue.
