Caps better without Ovechkin on the PP?

There is some talk that maybe the Washington Capitals would be best served without Alex Ovechkin on the power play.
The Capitals see more than 50% increase in converting on the power play when Ovechkin is off the ice. Of course no one is really suggesting that the team is better with Ovechkin on the bench, but perhaps limiting his ice time would help. The Capitals are on a real slide and should try anything to get their team out of their current rut.
