Kevin Durant had another game of standing around and failing to get open, finishing with 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting (1-of-9 from downtown, 4-of-6 from the stripe) with seven rebounds and two assists over 37 foul-plagued minutes in Friday's Game 6 loss.
Tony Allen is a beast and with his active hands has neutralized KD, yet Scott Brooks will not force the ball into him in positions that would take advantage of his height advantage -- let alone use screens, motion, or the low-block as a way to mitigate Allen's low base and athleticism. Durant needs to start demanding the ball and using whatever methods he can to get open -- but until his coach sets up a system that will assist with that -- it will be an uphill battle.
