Boston expresses interest in Kelvim Escobar

The Red Sox have reportedly asked for the medical records of Kelvim Escobar, along with Rafael Soriano.
Over the previous two years, Escobar has pitched exactly once in the majors: June 6, 2009. Bringing him in on a major league deal would be quite a risk for the Red Sox. It's likely the team is interested in bringing him on a minor league pact with a highly-incentivized package.
