Leclaire out 4 weeks with broken cheekbone
Pascal Leclaire - G - Ottawa Senators
Nov. 24, 2009 - 5:35 PM ET

Pascal Leclaire will be sidelined for up to four weeks due to a broken cheekbone.

He will undergo surgery to repair the problem and may miss a month of action. The injury took place on Monday night when he was serving as the backup on the bench and a puck ricocheted off the glass and hit him in the face. That is one of the strangest and most unfortunate injuries to occur in a long time. Brian Elliot will likely carry the load in Leclaire's place, while the team has recalled Mike Brodeur from their AHL affiliate in Binghamton.
