According to the New York Post, a Yankees official denied Monday that the team has any interest in Jermaine Dye.
The Yankees have the luxury of waiting for the free agent market to develop, as most agents like to involve the Bombers to drive up bids on their clients. "We haven't game-planned yet," GM Brian Cashman said. "Once I get firm numbers, then I can go ahead and start putting ideas together." Dye, 35, isn't much of a defensive outfielder but he hit 27 homers in 2009.
