Caron Butler very doubtful to play this year

Mavericks president Donnie Nelson said that it would be "next to impossible" for Caron Butler to return at any point during the playoffs.
"I think everyone, including Caron himself, understands that" said Nelson. Butler had settled into a productive niche as the Mavericks' #2 scorer prior to rupturing his right patellar tendon, averaging 15.0 ppg. He is understandably anxious to help out his team in their championship drive, but it doesn't sound like it will happen.
