Report: Dye open to switching to first base
Jermaine Dye - OF - Chicago White Sox
Nov. 23, 2009 - 3:45 PM ET

Free agent Jermaine Dye is open to switching to first base, according to Foxsports.com.

Teams have been asking Dye's agent if his client would be open to the switch. The answer, evidently, is yes. Having an open mind to playing first base, or becoming a full-time DH, should increase Dye's market value a bit. The report suggests that the Braves, Mets, Giants and Orioles could be interested in Dye as a right-handed bat at first.
