Kobe Bryant hit 9-of-20 shots and a late, meaningless 3-pointer to finish with 23 points, zero rebounds, three assists and five steals as the Lakers lost 93-81 to the Mavericks in Game 2 in Los Angeles.
The Mavs are now up 2-0 and heading home for the next two games, putting them in the driver's seat in this series. Andrew Bynum came through with 18 points, 13 boards and a block, while Lamar Odom struggled off the bench for just six points and nine boards on 3-of-12 shooting. The Lakers aren't dead yet, but if they don't win both games in Dallas, their chances of pulling this one out will be virtually nonexistent.
