Jason Richardson's future is unclear

GM Otis Smith admitted that he doesn't know if the team will bring back impending free agent Jason Richardson.
Richardson's future may depend on how the new CBA is hammered out. If the "Bird Rights" rule is still intact, the Magic could go over the cap to retain him. Still, the Magic may just want to move on. Richardson averaged just 13.9 points on 43.9 percent shooting in 55 games with the Magic this year -- and was part of a group that got embarrassed in the first round of the playoffs.
