Oden still 'a ways away' from basketball work

GM Rich Cho confirmed that Greg Oden (knee) is still "a ways away" from doing anything basketball related.
Oden is getting a sweat going every day as he continues his rehab, but he's not going to scrimmage anytime soon. That makes things tough on the Blazers, who have until June 30 to make the former No. 1 overall pick an $8.8 million qualifying offer. Cho says he plans on doing just that as long as Oden's rehab continues to progress. We may not be able to evaluate Oden's health until next year's training camp at best.
