Carlos Boozer played despite a reported turf toe injury, and while he scored 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting with eight rebounds and three assists, his defensive lapses were omnipresent in the Bulls' Game 1 loss.
It's hard to understand, given the fact that he has been coached by Duke's Coach K, Jerry Sloan, and now defensive whiz Tom Thibodeau -- but he is constantly out of position and lacks effort. And while the turf toe could play a role, this is nothing new for Boozer, and given his history with injuries we're less inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.
