Duncan Era over? Spurs eliminated by Grizz
Tim Duncan - F/C - San Antonio Spurs
April 30, 2011 - 1:25 AM ET

Tim Duncan looked like a shell of his former self in the Spurs' Game 6 loss to the Grizzlies on Friday, scoring 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting with 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal, three blocks, and five turnovers as San Antonio was eliminated from the playoffs.

He was manhandled down low by Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, and his flirtation with the yips manifested itself again tonight as he missed a bunch of gimmies. What's worse is that he looked like he was just going through the motions, and has made overtures in the past that included thoughts of retirement. Duncan has 21 million reasons to return next season, but the Spurs will need to add some firepower for this group to have a shot next year.
