Nuggets scouting director Mike Bratz said the team targeting Ty Lawson in the 2009 draft because of their point guard efficiency formula.
The Nuggets use stat-based formulas to evaluate players, and Bratz said that Lawson had one of the highest ratings ever. It speaks to Lawson's value as a fantasy player. He averaged 14.7 points, 6.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.2 treys as a starter this season. Lawson has the ability to improve on those numbers going forward.
