Ellis strong in Bolts win
Dan Ellis - G - Tampa Bay Lightning
Dec. 20, 2010 - 11:40 PM ET

Dan Ellis kicked aside 21 shots in the Lightning's 5-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday night.

Dan Ellis and Mike Smith struggled for most of the season to provide consistent goaltending for the Bolts. However, the two have been much better as of late. Each netminder has won their previous two starts. With Monday's win, Ellis' record improves to 9-5-4 with a .879 save percentage and a 3.11 goals-against average.
