Ray Allen hit a clutch 3-pointer near the end of Sunday's game to seal an 87-85 win over the Knicks in Game 1.
Allen had 24 points, six boards and three 3-pointers, as Carmelo Anthony took a poor attempt at a three of his own at the buzzer. Rajon Rondo just missed a triple-double with 10 points, nine rebounds and nine assists on just 5-of-14 shooting, Paul Pierce added 18 points and Kevin Garnett had 15 points and 13 rebounds in the win. The Knicks were in control for much of the game, but Carmelo Anthony self destructed down the stretch, including that final attempt, which was weak.
