Nino Niederreiter will represent Team Switzerland at the World Junior Hockey Championships.
In last year's tournament, he ended up seventh in scoring en route to being named to the WJC All-Star team and helping his country to an impressive fourth-place finish. Niderreiter started the 2010-11 campaign with the Islanders in the NHL, but was sent back to his junior squad in Portland after posting a goal and an assist in nine games. He has amassed 26 points in 23 contests in the Western Hockey League since his reassignment. Look for him to stick with the Isles next year. New York will also feature two prospects on Team Canada's roster in Calvin de Haan and Casey Cizikas at the tournament.
