Nats add three to 40-man roster

Nationals purchased the contracts of LHP Aaron Thompson, RHP Juan Jaime, and LHP Atahualpa Severino.
Thompson, 22, was acquired from the Marlins in the Nick Johnson trade. He was 5-12 with a 3.93 ERA between Double-A Jacksonville (Marlins) and Double-A Harrisburg (Nationals) in 2009. Jamie, 22, had a sterling 12.3 K/9 in 14 games (12 starts) between Class A Vermont and Hagerstown. Severino, 25, was 10-0 with a 2.62 ERA in 44 relief appearances between Class A Potomac and Double-A Harrisburg, earning 17 saves.
