Diaw will pick up his player option

Boris Diaw confirmed that he will pick up his $9.0 million player option for next season.
Diaw would not get a long-term deal at age 28 with a lockout looming. He'll return as the Bobcats' projected starting power forward again, unless the Bobcats work out a trade. Diaw started all 82 games this year, posting 11.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.0 treys per game.
