Suns expected to waive declining Vince Carter
Vince Carter - G/F - Phoenix Suns
April 14, 2011 - 10:40 AM ET

The Suns are likely to waive Vince Carter this offseason, according to beat writer Paul Coro.

The Suns will owe Carter $4 million by waiving him, but they'll owe him $18 million next season if they don't. It's an easy decision, especially after the rapidly declining Carter lost his starting job to Jared Dudley. Carter certainly isn't done in the league, but at age 34 he is no more than a bench player.
