Mason blows opportunity in rare start

Chris Mason allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Thrashers' 3-2 shootout loss to Carolina on Thursday night.
With Ondrej Pavelec playing like a man possessed for the Thrashers lately, Chris Mason needs to come up big in limited opportunities if he expects to increase his playing time. Sadly, he squandered such an opportunity tonight as Atlanta blew a 2-0 third period lead. In Mason's defense he actually played fairly well, but the circumstances under which he lost the game don't help his cause.
