Mike Smith will start for Bolts on Wednesday

Mike Smith will be in the Lightning goal on Wednesday night versus the Atlanta Thrashers.
It will be his first start since he allowed five goals on 22 shots in an 8-1 drubbing at the hands of the Boston Bruins on Dec. 2. Smith has struggled this season with an 8-5-0 record, an .872 save percentage and a 3.57 goals-against average. Tampa Bay desperately needs better efforts from their goaltenders this campaign if they want to secure a playoff spot.
