WHARTON, N.J. - Running back Lache Seastrunk of Temple High School (Texas) was named the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 7. Seastrunk, who led his team to a 44-32 win over Shoemaker High School (Killeen, Texas), carried the ball 31 times for 305 yards and four touchdowns.
With Temple’s season now over, Seastrunk finished the 2009 season with 1,174 yards on the ground and 15 total touchdowns. In his career with the Wildcats, the 2010 U.S. Army All-American rushed for 4,217 yards and reached the end zone 52 times.
The U.S. Army All-American Bowl Player of the Week was designed to recognize the nation’s top performance of the week. The winner will be announced each Monday, throughout the season and noted on www.usarmyallamericanbowl.com.
