SAYREVILLE, N.J. (AP) -Seton Hall University has suspended a men's basketball player indefinitely after he was charged in a wrong-way crash.
Police say Keon Lawrence has been charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
Coach Bobby Gonzalez announced Lawrence's suspension Tuesday in a news release. Lawrence previously played for the University of Missouri.
New Jersey State Police Sgt. Stephen Jones says the 22-year-old Lawrence hit another vehicle early Monday after driving the wrong way on the Garden State Parkway near Sayreville, N.J.
Lawrence was treated for severe facial cuts, and the driver of the other car suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police did not know whether Lawrence had retained a lawyer, and the university declined to further comment. A phone number was not listed for Lawrence in New Jersey.
