Surgery not ruled out on Prince's ailing back

While the current remedy for the ruptured disc in Tayshaun Prince's back is rest, surgery is not being ruled out, and he isn't expected back for the foreseeable future.
The Pistons learned of the injury on Tuesday, and after it initially responded well to treatment, it wasn't long before his back flared up again. Owners could wait and see if a timetable is released within the next week or so, but we wouldn't hold it against you if you went with a hot free agent instead.
