Lidge to have surgery on pitching elbow

Brad Lidge will have surgery on Wednesday to remove a loose body from his right elbow.
He will also have his right flexor tendon evaluated. Lidge's elbow caused him some pain during the season, but he insists that the condition never affected his performance. His 7.21 ERA suggests otherwise. Lidge's agent Rex Gary expects him to be ready for the start of spring training, but his rehab could be longer if treatment is required on his flexor tendon.
