Backstrom to start on Thursday

Niklas Backstrom will get the start in goal for Minnesota on Thursday.
The Wild are in Phoenix to take on the Coyotes. Backstrom is 8-7-3 this season with a 2.61 GAA and a .917 save percentage. He has only played in two of the Wild's last six games after some weak performances so perhaps his working with goaltending coach Bob Mason has brought his game back to the level it was earlier in the season when he was sensational.
