J.P. Dumont has seen limited action for the Predators the past few games.
His ice time has dropped below 10 minutes the last three contests and he played a mere 4:30 against Carolina on Saturday night. Coach Barry Trotz was asked about Dumont's game and he had this to say: "He's doing everything as a pro. He's one of those guys, he's a great per'son and a great pro. When he gets away from the details of the game, it hurts him. He has to skate all the time. That's his key. The game has chan'ged a lot. If you look at J.P., that's not his strength ' his ove'rall ska'ting. His strength is some of the offen'sive ins'tincts, so the game has really gone quickly, and when he's not ska'ting, he's not as effec'tive as he can be. He's wor'king on his game. He has fallen off a little bit and he's trying to pick it up. I'm not too worried about him."
