LaBarbera gives the Coyotes good netminding
Jason LaBarbera - G - Phoenix Coyotes
Dec. 3, 2010 - 9:05 AM ET

Jason LaBarbera has given the Phoenix Coyotes good goaltending in his last two starts.

LaBarbera started the season with three mediocre outings as he gave up nine goals in less than 114 minutes of action. But he has won his last two starts, albeit three weeks apart, and has given up only three goals in 71 shots. "I'm lucky to have Burkie (goaltending coach Sean Burke) here to keep me grounded, keep me centered and kind of get me ready for games," he said. "It's easy for me to come to the rink every day and work hard. I like to do that, but it's also easy when you haven't played for awhile to fall into a little bit of a complacent lull just because you're not playing." Look for LaBarbera's next start to be close to Christmas.
