Report: D-Backs likely to keep Webb for 2010

According to Jon Heyman of SI.com, the Diamondbacks "are planning to pick up Brandon Webb's $8.5 million option" for 2010.
Webb made it very clear that he wasn't interested in negotiating a new deal, so the Diamondbacks had to either exercise the option or take their chances retaining him on the open market. Arizona has until five days after the World Series to make their decision official.
