WHARTON, N.J. - Defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat and QB Michael Pruneau of Plano West High School (Plano, Texas) were named Co-U.S. Army All-American Bowl Players of the Week for the week ending Oct. 3. Jeffcoat tallied several sacks, an interception and a blocked extra point, while Pruneau was 21-for-30 passing for 407 yards and five touchdowns in leading Plano West to an 84-40 win over McKinney-Boyd High School (McKinney, Texas).
Jeffcoat was named as a player for the West team in the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, to be held in San Antonio on Jan. 9. In September, he was named to the watch list for the U.S. Army Player of the Year award, annually given to the top prep football player in the nation.
