Richard S. Johnson withdrew during his second round of the Valero Texas Open, citing his recurring shoulder injury.
Johnson went out in 7-over-par 43 before calling it quits. He had just quintuple-bogeyed the par-4 ninth hole (the same hole that got the best of Kevin Na on Thursday). RSJ was 10-over for the tournament and had failed to record a single birdie. UPDATE: Afterwards, he tweeted the following: "Had a little Kevin Na hole on 9. Made a nice 9. Shoulder still soar [sic]. Swinging bad. Week off." The same injury also bumped him from the Transitions Championship after one round on March 17. Look for him again in New Orleans on April 28.
