Thomas Vanek hopes to return on Friday

Thomas Vanek is targeting Friday's game versus Dallas to return from his upper-body injury.
"We'll see how it reacts today, but that's my goal," said Vanek, who practiced on Thursday. "We'll see." Ville Leino has been clicking with Derek Roy and Jason Pominville in his place, which might bump him off the top line initially when is ready to come back. The trio has combined to score three goals and seven points in the three games that Vanek has missed.
