Monty dubs Garcia fourth assistant RC captain

In a surprise decision, Ryder Cup captain, Colin Montgomerie, announced that Sergio Garcia will serve as a fourth assistant captain for the European team.
Garcia has had a terrible year, and is currently on a sabbatical from competition, but this is a nice bone from the Scottish captain. This has the whiff of what Greg Norman did for Adam Scott at least year's President's Cup, although Scott competed in the competition.
