VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick has gone back to practice — with a high school football team.

The Virginian-Pilot reported that Vick stopped by Landstown High School in Virginia Beach for the team’s first day of practice Monday. Landstown coach Tommy Reamon coached Vick at Warwick High School in nearby Newport News.

Vick told the newspaper he loves working with kids and that he told them to have fun playing high school football. He didn’t talk about his efforts to find a NFL team or his recently ended federal prison term for bankrolling a dogfighting ring. He did participate in passing drills with Landstown’s receivers and worked with the team’s quarterback, Larry Joshua.
