Roy Halladay not dealt before trade deadline

Roy Halladay was not dealt before the 4:00pm trade deadline, according to MLB beat writer Jordan Bastian.
The Angels reportedly made a final rush, but Blue Jays management again refused to lower the asking price. Toronto GM J.P. Ricciardi is sure to take a hit in the media for dangling Halladay and not spinning a deal, but he said from the beginning that he was looking to be "overwhelmed" by a proposal. And it simply didn't happen.
