Nolan Ryan: Rangers 'actively pursuing' Doc
Roy Halladay - S - Toronto Blue Jays
July 30, 2009 - 11:25 PM ET
According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, Rangers president Nolan Ryan said Thursday that his club is "actively seeking" Roy Halladay.

"It's still premature to make a prediction whether it will happen,'' Ryan said of a deal for Halladay. "Obviously., we'd like to have him." Ryan also suggested, however, that top young hurler Derek Holland would not be involved in any deal. The Rangers have a good amount of top prospects, but Blue Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi has demanded the very best since negotiations began.
