Suppan diagnosed with left oblique strain

According to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, an MRI on Jeff Suppan's left side Tuesday night showed an oblique strain.
Suppan will rest for the next few days and undergo a re-evaluation on Thursday. If he requires a stint on the disabled list, it could spur the Brewers toward a trade for a starting pitcher. They've been linked recently to Mariners left-hander Jarrod Washburn, but may have to compete with other clubs.
