Rick DiPietro is still getting comfortable playing between the pipes after missing the better part of two seasons due to knee problems.
DiPietro has a terrible 3.75 GAA and .867 save percentage in six games. "There's a lot more that goes into playing a game than just stopping the puck," DiPietro said. "Communication with your teammates, learning the tendencies of your own guys - it's not like I stepped back in with the same six [defensemen] I played with for five years. It takes time." Barring another injury, DiPietro should get better as the year goes on. However, teammate Dwayne Roloson was the superior goaltender in October.
