BUFFALO, N.Y. - Hold off on that housewarming gift, Bills fans. Terrell Owens’ search for a place to live in Buffalo is back on.

Some 15 hours after the receiver posted on his Twitter.com site that his search for a home was over, Owens changed course Wednesday afternoon after his real estate agent, Maureen Flavin, spoke to numerous media outlets, including The Associated Press.

Tweeting in all capital letters, Owens accused Flavin of being unprofessional, while noting that he will not be renting the place in question. In a follow-up post, Owens added that he couldn’t believe “she would do (that) after we specifically talked (to) her about confidentiality.”

Flavin did not return a message seeking comment.

Earlier in the day, and without disclosing the address, Flavin told the AP that Owens had agreed to lease a 4,500-square-foot newly built home in an upscale community in Orchard Park, not far from Ralph Wilson Stadium. She also said she discovered the place with assistance from developer David Stapleton, who built the home.

Buffalo’s WIVB-TV gained access inside the home and broadcast footage of the living room and kitchen, while noting there were strict conditions against divulging the location.

Television station WKBW-TV announced on its Twitter site that Owens had not only found a place to live, but added, “Find out where here,” above a link that has since been disabled.

Owens had prompted the news of having found a place earlier in the day, when he tweeted about his new living arrangements. Aside from thanking “ALL the people,” who opened their homes to him, he also credited those who assisted him in finding him a place to stay.

He was scheduled to take possession on July 1, a month before the start of Bills training camp.

So much for a happy ending to a two-month search that has taken another twist for Owens, who signed a one-year $6.5 million contract with the Bills in early March shortly after being released by the Dallas Cowboys.

The search also made headlines after Owens said he was turned down from viewing one home because the owners didn’t want any drama in their neighborhood.

Owens is intent on renting rather than buying in the Buffalo area. He already owns homes in Atlanta, Dallas, Miami and New Jersey.
