Nick Montana, son of Hall of Famer Joe Montana, has reportedly committed to play for Washington.
Montana, one of the top quarterbacks in the class of 2010, told the Seattle Times on Tuesday that he's “fired up” to be a Husky. He had planned to take longer to make his decision but that a recent trip to Washington "just made everything a lot easier.''
Washington was chosen by Montana over Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and Notre Dame, where his father stared in college.
Montana will have the benefit of working next season with his father, who has joined the Oaks Christian (Calif.) staff as quarterbacks coach.
