APArizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart worked out with New England Patriots coach Tom Brady at UCLA recently, the Arizona Tribune reported Thursday.
"I figured if I'm running with him (Brady), he can do whatever," Leinart said. "It was funny, we were out there one day, just me and him, and their whole team comes out. They were in off-season conditioning.
"I almost wanted to wear my 'SC jacket, but that would have been real disrespectful."
Leinart, a former Heisman Trophy winner at USC, has several connections with UCLA: he knows Bruins coach Rick Neuheisel, former Trojans assistant Norm Chow now works with the Bruins, and Brady has a house near the USC campus, the Tribune said.
Brady worked with Leinart on his footwork and release, among other fundamentals, the Tribune said.
