Browns waived LB Josh Stamer.
The special teamer was just signed two weeks ago, so the Browns obviously didn't like what they saw.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dolphins have waived OLB Matt Roth.
Roth earned the ire of the coaching staff and the front office after he sat out training camp with a groin injury despite gaining clearance from doctors. Set to hit free agency after the season, he wasn't going to return to the Dolphins regardless. Miami is deep at outside linebacker, so Roth was the odd man out the rest of the way. Expect him to draw plenty of interest from teams that run 3-4 defenses.
Colts re-signed DE Josh Thomas.
An end of the roster type, Thomas has been cut and re-signed a handful of times over the past two seasons. He knows the Colts' scheme and offers plenty of experience.
Packers activated CB Trevor Ford from the practice squad.
Ford, undrafted out of Troy, will take Al Harris' (torn ACL) roster spot.
Dolphins signed DE Ikaika Alama-Francis, formerly of the Lions.
Miami needed depth at defensive tackle with Randy Starks and Tony McDaniel set to see time at nose tackle after Jason Ferguson's season-ending torn quadriceps muscle. Alama-Francis was raw coming out of Hawaii but is a worthwhile project for the Dolphins.
Ravens signed FB Charles Ali.
The Ravens now have another option as a lead-blocker. With Willis McGahee struggling in short-yardage, Le'Ron McClain could be ready to take over goal-line duties for the rest of the season.
Steelers waived CB Keiwan Ratliff.
Ratliff can help a team as a dime corner, but he wasn't seeing much time on defense with the Steelers.
