Dominique Johnson - DB - New York Giants

Giants signed CB D.J. Johnson off the Broncos' practice squad.

The Giants worked out 14 free agents Tuesday in the midst of their four-game losing streak. They've been wretched against the pass since losing Kenny Phillips and sorely need secondary talent, but Johnson won't save them.

Gerris Wilkinson - LB - New York Giants

Giants placed LB Gerris Wilkinson (wrist) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Wilkinson probably isn't in the Giants' long-term plans. He's in the final year of his contract and is behind Chase Blackburn and Brian Kehl on the depth chart. The 2006 third-round pick finishes the season with nine tackles.

Thomas Brown - RB - Cleveland Browns

Browns signed RB Thomas Brown to their practice squad.

The former sixth-round pick out of Georgia essentially becomes Cleveland's No. 4 tailback behind Jamal Lewis, Jerome Harrison, and undrafted rookie Chris Jennings. Brown is little more than a kickoff return prospect.

Anthony Madison - DB - Indianapolis Colts

Colts signed CB Anthony Madison.

The Colts need healthy corners, but they'll continue to roll with rookies Jerraud Powers and Jacob Lacey as the starters. Madison has made his name as a special teams maven the past couple of years.

Mike Hass - WR - Seattle Seahawks

Seahawks waived WR Mike Hass.

Hass was just promoted from the practice squad last week when Ben Obomanu sustained an oblique injury. Hass will rejoin the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Nov. 10, 2009 - 6:45 PM ET
Rodriques Wilson - LB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bucs placed LB Rod Wilson on season-ending injured reserve.

The Bucs have not disclosed his injury. Wilson has been limited to special teams duty since signing last December.

Nov. 10, 2009 - 6:25 PM ET
Eric Barton - LB - Cleveland Browns

Browns placed ILB Eric Barton on season-ending injured reserve with a bulging disc in his neck.

The move was expected after Barton was diagnosed with the injury after the Browns' Week 8 game. With leading tackler D'Qwell Jackson already lost for the season, Cleveland will be even softer on run defense. Barton's career isn't known to be in jeopardy. Barton turns 33 at the start of next season and is due $2.3M in 2010 salary, so his future as a Brown is uncertain.
