The Thunder have assigned guard Kyle Weaver to the D-League.
Weaver was averaging eight minutes in two appearances this season, and this should allow him far more opportunities to get on the court.
The Celtics have sent swingman Bill Walker to their D-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws.
Walker is returning from a torn meniscus in his right knee and has played just two minutes all season long.
The shorthanded Warriors signed big man Chris Hunter using the NBA's hardship rule.
Hunter averaged 19.3 points on 55.1 percent shooting and 9.4 rebounds a game for the D-League's Fort Wayne Mad Ants last season. And while it's hard to imagine him having fantasy value, he will have some good nights as long as he's playing for Don Nelson. Heck, he could even start out ahead of Anthony Randolph on the depth chart.
Pops Mensah-Bonsu has been claimed off waivers by the Raptors, and could play Tuesday against the Nuggets.
Mensah-Bonsu is big, physical and athletic, but hasn't shown enough basketball skills to be an effective NBA player. The potential is there, but he will struggle to make an impact stuck behind Chris Bosh, Amir Johnson and Reggie Evans on the depth chart.
The Bobcats have completed a four-player trade for disgruntled Warriors swingman Stephen Jackson. He is headed to Orlando and could even play in Monday's game against the Magic.
The Warriors will also send Acie Law to the Bobcats, taking back Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic. Jax isn't headed to a championship contender, but he'll play a huge role for the offensively-challenged Bobcats. This has the potential to dent the numbers of Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace, while crunching D.J. Augustin's already-limited playing time.
The Bobcats have traded Raja Bell to the Warriors as part of a deal for Stephen Jackson.
Bell is playing through a wrist injury, but it hasn't been limiting him. He's an automatic pickup in most fantasy leagues, even though it isn't entirely obvious what role he'll play in Golden State (a defensive specialist under Don Nelson?).
As expected, the Grizzlies signed Jamaal Tinsley to a one-year contract on Saturday.
Tinsley's arrival seems to indicate that the franchise isn't totally comfortable with Mike Conley at PG, and that Allen Iverson is nowhere near returning to action. Tinsley has career averages of 10.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.7 steals, but we're not too excited about his fantasy value in Memphis.
