Matthew Stafford threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns on 22-of-42 passing in Week 9, but was picked off five times as the Lions fell to Seattle 32-20, and a 1-7 record for the season.
Stafford started hot, throwing darts and engineering a 17-point first-quarter lead. The rookie completely tanked after that, however, struggling badly with his accuracy and not getting the football to Calvin Johnson. Stafford's body language certainly wasn't that of a poised leader. He still has a promising future, but has flopped in back-to-back matchups against awful secondaries (also St. Louis in Week 8).

Vincent Jackson caught five passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's win over the Giants.
Jackson won the game with an 18-yard touchdown catch with 21 seconds left in the game. He wasn't bothered at all by Corey Webster throughout the game as V-Jax is just too big and talented. Jackson is now on pace for 84 catches, 1,444 yards and 14 touchdowns. He's a top-five option even in a tough matchup with the Eagles next week.

Drew Brees completed 24-of-35 passes for 330 yards, one touchdown, and one interception to lead the unbeaten Saints past the Panthers in Week 9, 30-20.
Brees started slowly, losing a fumble and throwing an interception in the first quarter. He bounced back in the second half, spreading the ball around and hitting Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson for big plays. Brees has topped 300 yards in three of his last four games, and he's a good bet to do it again next week at St. Louis.

Redskins coach Jim Zorn revealed that Clinton Portis was "knocked out" on the first-quarter play that ended his day Sunday.
Zorn plans to be "cautious" with Portis, which could mean he'll miss Week 10. "I don't remember what happened," Portis admitted. "I got a headache. I'm sore." Teams typically hold players out for one game after they get knocked unconscious the week prior. Ladell Betts may start against Denver.

Eagles declared RB Brian Westbrook, LB Chris Gocong, CB Dimitri Patterson, WR Kevin Curtis, OG Max Jean-Gilles, OL Mike McGlynn, RB P.J. Hill and DL Victor Abiamiri inactive for Week 9.
Westrbrook is still dealing with post-concussion symptoms. LeSean McCoy will start on Sunday Night Football against the Cowboys.

After gaining just four yards on four carries, Clinton Portis left Sunday's game in the first quarter with a concussion.
He didn't appear in good spirits with a towel over his head on the sideline, and was ruled out for the rest of the game in the second quarter. Portis got crunched between Chevis Jackson and Thomas DeCoud at the end of a carry. He's battled injuries all season and is in danger of missing Week 10 as well.
Panthers WLB Thomas Davis was carted off the field with a knee injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Saints.
He's done for the day, and it looked like it could be a serious injury. His loss would be devastating for the Panthers defense. Davis had been playing at Pro Bowl level while leading the team in tackles.
