NEW YORK, July 30 - The overnight ratings for ABC’s Battle of Bighorn, featuring Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus, were down slightly from last year.

THE RATINGS FOR the Monday night event, in which Woods and Nicklaus defeated Sergio Garcia and Lee Trevino 3 and 2, were a 5.3 with a 9 share. Last year’s ratings were 5.9 with a 10 share, when Woods and Annika and Annika Sorenstam faced David Duval and Karrie Webb.

The rating is the percentage of all homes with TVs, whether or not they are in use. Overnight ratings measure the 53 largest TV markets in the United States, covering about 65 percent of the country.
