Dallas McPherson - 3B - Oakland Athletics

Athletics signed INF Dallas McPherson to a minor league contract.

The deal comes with an invitation to spring training. McPherson, who at one time was a highly touted prospect, has battled injuries throughout his career and is now 29 years old. He has 150 home runs and a .586 career slugging percentage in 608 minor league games but also carries a lousy .245/.298/.458 career batting line on the major league level.

Pierre Garcon - WR - Indianapolis Colts

Pierre Garcon (ankle) is active for the Colts Sunday, as expected.

Garcon was listed as "questionable" but put in a full practice both Thursday and Friday. He's healthy, but is nothing more than a WR3 option as he hasn't caught more than five passes in a game all season.

Roddy White - WR - Atlanta Falcons

Roddy White is active Sunday against the Giants, as expected.

White was listed as questionable on the injury report coming in, but hasn't missed a game in his five-year career. The Giants have struggled badly to cover No. 1 receivers of late, so White is a high-quality WR1 play on Sunday.

Daniel Sedin - W - Vancouver Canucks

Daniel Sedin (foot) will return to the Vancouver lineup on Sunday against the Blackhawks.

Sedin has been out action with a broken foot since Oct. 7 and is anxious to be back patrolling the wing with his brother, Henrik, again. Henrik Sedin did well in his twin's absence, notching 18 points in 18 games, but coach Alain Vigneault admitted that something was missing in his game without Daniel. "Yes, Henrik did get the same number of points, but his game and the way he gets his points, especially the time he spends in the other zone was not nearly as efficient as it is when his brother is there," said the Canucks' bench boss. "When they spend so much time in the other zone, the other team is spending energy defending without the puck. I think it will be real good to get his brother back. That's part of our game we expect and we need. It's going to be good to have those two guys back." Get him back in your lineup as soon as you can.

Jerious Norwood - RB - Atlanta Falcons

Jerious Norwood (hip) and Michael Turner (ankle) are both inactive for Week 11 against the Giants.

Norwood got some practice time in this week, but it wasn't enough to get him cleared for his usual duties. Jason Snelling will be an every-down back at New York. The Falcons' other inactives are WR Brian Finneran, LB Spencer Adkins, OT Garrett Reynolds, DT Trey Lewis, OL Quinn Ojinnaka, and third QB John Parker Wilson.

Albert Haynesworth - DL - Washington Redskins

Albert Haynesworth (ankle) will not play against the Cowboys Sunday.

Kedric Golston gets the start and is obviously a big downgrade. Upgrade Marion Barber's matchup, especially considering how much the Cowboys emphasized the run this week. Haynesworth's bulk in the middle will be sorely missed.

Chris Simms - QB - Denver Broncos

ESPN's Chris Mortensen confirms that Chris Simms will start for the Broncos on Sunday against the Chargers.

Starting Simms is the smart move for the Broncos, as they don't want to risk further injury to Kyle Orton's ankle. Simms was awful in relief of Orton last week, completing just 3-of-13 pass attempts with a pick. Look for the Broncos to try and pound the ball on the ground today.
