Penguins coach Dan Bylsma has his team playing more aggressively, and that's one of the reasons the club is better than it was last season when it went to the Stanley Cup finals, writes Bill Clement of NBCSports.com.

4. Moving forward, is goaltending the biggest issue facing the Flyers?
Yes. This summer both Martin Biron and Antero Niittymaki are unrestricted free agents. Biron is the No. 1, and so the big question is what general manager Paul Holmgren decides to do with Biron. The Flyers must decide if there is a goalie available to them via free agency or trade who would represent an upgrade on Biron. There aren’t many goalies available, but if Philadelphia management comes to the conclusion that there is someone available who would be better than Biron, then it must try to work things out financially taking into account the salary cap in order to bring that goalie aboard. But the catch 22 to that scenario is while the Flyers are working on trying to replace Biron, he could sign somewhere else. Holmgren has to be careful not to end up worse off in goal for next season.

Biron seems to lack focus during the regular season. This past season he was unable to put together long stretches of good games. He becomes far more focused and consistent in the playoffs. What Holmgren needs to ask himself is whether Biron’s play in the regular season ends up costing the Flyers a higher seed in the playoffs? Re-signing Biron would not be a bad move, but is there a better move out there for the Flyers?

Niittymaki hasn’t been able to win consistently so if he’s re-signed, it would likely be to fill in as a backup to whoever is the No. 1 netminder.

Without a doubt, the Flyers goaltending for next season will grab the most attention over the summer, but another key issue will be addressing the team’s lack of discipline. The Flyers took too many bad penalties. And at least in part, the blame for that falls at the feet of coach John Stevens. Left wing Scott Hartnell led the league in minor penalties. Also, the Flyers power play to penalty kill ratio was the worst in the NHL (-77).
